About the Tattoo:

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a world-class event, rooted in Scottish tradition, offering audiences an experience like no other. Performed to a live audience of 230,000 each year on the iconic esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, the Tattoo showcases creativity through music, precision performances and dance from military and cultural acts from around the globe.

Duration:  

This is a temporary position from 29 April - 5 September 2025.  The normal working week is 35 hours between 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.  However, in the immediate lead up to and during the event period (July-August) you will be required to work additional (paid) hours including evenings and weekends.

Job Purpose Summary:  

To assist with a range of tasks to support the smooth operation of the ‘in-year’ Edinburgh event under the general direction of the Production Logistics Manager.  The role involves extensive contact with performer groups, military and cultural/arts agencies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of the microsite and accreditation system for performers.
  • Manage communications with performers and contractors for accreditation.
  • Assist with meeting arrangements including organising catering. 
  • Support preparation of key event documents.
  • Co-ordinate deliveries/collection to the office and other locations.
  • Other duties relating to the event as reasonably required by your manager.
  • Represent the company positively in interaction with performer groups, seasonal staff, event contractors and partner organisations.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work to instruction and deadline.
  • Good administration and computer skills.
    •    Attentive to detail.
    •    Experience in customer service.
    •    English at Higher/A level (or equivalent).

Desirable Criteria:

  • RFIdentikit or similar accreditation software experience.
  • Event support experience.
  • Experience working for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
