Time for a “Hoolie”!
We’re excited to announce that our talented Tattoo Performers will be joining the super-star line-up at this year’s “Hoolie in the Hydro” at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro!
Scotland’s biggest single night of traditional music returns on Saturday 7 December 2024 to celebrate 100 years of incredible Scottish trad music! This year’s highly anticipated show has a phenomenal line-up, with each act celebrating a special musical milestone.
As we ready ourselves to mark 75 years of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2025, we’re delighted to join the line-up. Our talented Tattoo Performers are set to showcase our musical transformation, from traditional to trad with a twist.
Supporting Scottish traditional arts is at the core of our mission and partnering with the Hoolie in the Hydro, offers us a great opportunity to work with fellow trad music enthusiasts, and focus more attention on the wonderful world of modern Scottish folk and trad music.
Started in 2022 by musician and broadcaster Gary Innes, Hoolie in the Hydro brings ceilidh to the big stage. This year’s Hoolie will feature performances by Scottish folk legends Capercaillie, who mark 40 years’ as pioneers in the Scots music scene, award-winning band, Skerryvore who’s song ‘Take My Hand’ inspired our 2024 Tattoo finale and are celebrating 20 years since their electric debut, energetic contemporary group Talisk marking 10 years of music, folk supergroup Mànran and leading instrumental band RURA both celebrating 15 years at the forefront of the trad scene evolution.
