Your chance to perform in 2020

As we look ahead to ‘The Platinum Edition’, a celebration of our 70^th anniversary in 2020, we are delighted to welcome applications to join us as part of Pipers Trail, the Tattoo’s very own Pipes and Drums, and the Tattoo Dance Company.

Talented and passionate volunteer pipers, drummers, and dancers from around the globe are encouraged to apply to make up three files and perform on the world-renowned Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle to audiences of over 8,000 each night.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo commit £1m in funding to military and arts charities each year. These grants are donated to a variety of projects including helping to support veterans and bolstering traditional Scottish music and dance funding. By performing at the Tattoo, you can play your part in raising these much-needed funds as well as enjoying an unforgettable experience as part of this iconic event.
